Why did you start Jeeves & Co.?

I started Jeeves & Co. back in early 2017 after leaving a job in PR and graphic design. After working in a commercially driven environment, I wanted to do something which might bring a little joy to my clients and customers, while challenging me to become a better designer.

What is your biggest accomplishment?

There have been so many along the way but there are a few that really stick out.
That first sale (a card with a french bull dog on); my first 1000 sales; moving out of my parents spare room and into my studio in the home I share with my fiancé, moving from that studio into my new external office; and of course hiring my first employee, who also happens to be my best friend, Alice.

What inspires you?

One of my biggest influences is William Morris, and I used the name of his company 'Morris & Co.' as inspiration when choosing the name of my own business. I completed an Art History masters at St Andrews University back in 2013 and Art and its influence remains a passion of mine, that as well as the beauty to be found in nature.

If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?

I'd quite like to fly, though I think I'd need to invest in some thermals!

What is your favourite story?

Jane Eyre... I'm a hopeless romantic at heart.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Milton Keynes, in a beautiful old village called Loughton. I lived in a pink house restored and extended my parents and their workforce of children (me, my sister and brother). At the age of 16 I left MK and went to live in Canterbury, then Lincoln, followed by St Andrews in Scotland, then Suffolk and then finally back to Milton Keynes.

What snacks do you bring to the studio?

Usually healthy foods that I end up not wanting to eat and tend to nip to the cafe for naughty snacks.

Who has left the most impact on your life?

I'm not sure I could just name one person...
My family, friends, partner and some of the wonderful teachers I've had over the last decade have all influenced me and lain the foundations to what I have so far achieved. I'm immensely lucky to have a very supportive family and small friendship group, who show both interest and passion for Jeeves & Co.

Who is the first person you call when something exciting happens?

Hmmm probably my parents because they are always at home! Then I'll pop a text to Ollie, Alice and Olivia.

Do you remember your dreams?

Usually only if they are scary or embarrassing!

Do you believe in love at first sight?

I'm afraid not, though I do still cherish the moment I first met my fiancé, even if I was eating a lot of pizza and informing the room that this was my third dinner of the night.... there may have been some alcohol involved.

What is your favourite Jeeves & Co product?

For me it's the LoveBoxes and always will be. It's an absolute honour to read and present my customer's '10 Reasons Why I Love You', I've even had one with a marriage proposal acceptance.
