Highlights From 2021

Highlights From 2021

As we welcome 2022 with open arms, it is the perfect time to reflect on the previous year and all the achievements we have accomplished as a small business, despite living in a global pandemic for the second year running.

For Jeeves & Co, 2021 was a year of many challenges and uncertainties. With weddings being postponed and cancelled at short notice, restrictions definitely impacted those working in the industry.

Despite living in a very changeable world, we never stopped doing what we love. There were certainly plenty of milestones made in 2021 and a lot we are truly grateful for. With new products and designs, multiple articles and mentions, a beautiful styled shoot and taking part in multiple wedding fairs, 2021 certainly kept us on our toes.

Here are some of our highlights from the past 12 months.

January

Being dog lovers, we thought it was about time we created some beautiful dog themed writing paper that Juniper would be proud of. Our Dapper Dog Writing Paper was the first of many new products to be realised in 2021, and we absolutely love it.

In January, we also introduced our grey foiled gift boxes to our Date Night Cards and writing paper.

Finally, we had our first paper Valentine’s Day advertisement in a local, independent magazine, Celebrate MK.

February

Our Date Night Cards were featured in the wonderful Sophie etc’s blog post, Love local: Indie gift ideas for Valentine’s & Galentine’s

This was also a special month for Pippa, who turned the big 30!

March

Pippa and Oliver moved to the Bedfordshire border, and consequently, so did Jeeves & Co. Together, they purchased a cottage in the countryside with beautiful surroundings, inspiring new wedding and social stationery designs throughout 2021.

April

Our Muse wedding stationery was designed. Featuring charcoal botanical sketches, a timeless and romantic suite, perfect for couples looking for a simple yet chic design.

May

Pippa (& Oliver) built a wedding show stand. This has allowed us to showcase our stationery to its best visibility. This was put to great use at our first wedding show of the year which was held at Shuttleworth in May.

Our new mirrored table plan was also created and introduced.

Our second wedding fair of the year was also held in May. The rustic Winters Tale Country Barn hosted a wonderful mix of suppliers, from local magicians to beautiful vintage cars. We were lucky enough to be chosen by the talented Emma at Signature Flowers to be a part of her styled, dressed table for this particular wedding fair. We created a bespoke design of menus and table numbers in soft blues and creams to compliment her floral display.

June

Featured in The Independent, our Autumnal Writing Paper was voted “Best for Personalisation.”

We were chosen by the creative Gemma Randall to be a part of the dreamiest styled wedding shoot ever seen. With soft pastels and flowing wisteria heaven, our elegant Muse stationery was captured beautifully.

July

Pippa’s Hen Party was held this month in the stunning Winchcombe Farm. This was Orient Express themed to fit Pippa’s Art Deco steam train wedding. There were games played, stories told and a lot of memories made, all will remain secret to the bride and the hens.

Pippa took part in our third wedding fair of the year, showcasing our designs at at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Stadium MK

We also released two beautiful new products, our Meal Planner and matching Shopping List Pad. This was a product that we had intended to create for a while, and we couldn’t be happier with the final design.

August

I joined Pippa in the big 30 club and threw myself a large 1920’s party (we have a theme for the year it may seem).

More importantly, Pippa and Oliver FINALLY got married. After the disappointment of 2020’s postponement, restrictions relaxed enough for the day to be perfect for the happy couple. Working in the wedding industry, Pippa picked the perfect suppliers for hair, make up, photography, venue, food… It could not have been a more beautiful day.

September

We hosted our first giveaway of 2021 on our social medias in September. The lucky winner won our new Meal Planner and Shopping List.

Jeeves & Co's newleyweds spent September visiting the varied landscape of Wales for their honeymoon.

October

Pippa attended the beautiful Horwood House’s wedding Fair in October.

Our Whimsical Woodland wedding suite was also released this month. Our Whimsical Woodland wedding stationery is just as enchanting as it sounds. Filled with charming watercolour illustrations of forest animals, including foxes, deer, hares and squirrels, this wedding suite is perfect for couples who love nature and wildlife.

November

November saw two new products created. Our Venue Illustration keepsake and our Concertina invites. All our venue illustrations are lovingly hand-drawn in a beautiful watercolour style.

Our final wedding fair of the year was held in December. This was our second at the Double-Tree, Stadium Milton Keynes.

December

We finally released a festive writing set for those who love to write Christmas letters. Our fabulous Festive Fancy writing paper features beautiful watercolour illustrations of poinsettia, holly, mistletoe and berries.

In December, we asked the lovely Gemma Randall to photograph our wedding suites. You will see these beautiful photos slowly appearing on our social media and website.

2022 is looking to be a brilliant year for weddings, with many postponements from the previous two years finally taking place. With the relaxation of restrictions at the start of this year, many have already taken the opportunity to start planning their special day.

At Jeeves & co, we like to think we are in the business of love. Our wedding and social stationery, keepsakes and gifts, have all been created with the intention of helping our customers share their feelings and celebrate life’s most important moments and milestones. We hope that throughout 2022, we continue to help spread a little bit of this happiness to all our customers.

Happy New Year
